Set on 27 acres of flat to undulating land, surrounded completely by state forest, native fauna and 3 natural dams is a little slice of dog heaven called Doggy Pause.

Originally opening in January 2009 in Hornsby as a small boutique dog boarding and dog daycare establishment Doggy Pause has expanded to incorporate dog grooming, its own label for natural dog grooming and natural dog healthcare products as well as a publishing house for dog literature and software source for other business’s of a similar nature.

Officially opening November 1st 2010 in Kulnura (50 minutes up the Central Coast from Hornsby) Doggy Pause launches its second dog boarding and dog daycare establishment, with a Hornsby drop off and pick up location for Sydney clients. The first indoor/outdoor dog daycare on the Central Coast and the largest cage-less dog boarding facility on the Central Coast. This means that all dogs are able to run free in fully fenced acres with other like-minded dogs for around 8 – 10 hours everyday of their stay. No lock ups, no lead walks – Just open, fresh space to run and just be a dog. Hundreds of toys, agility equipment and sand pits to dig are at each dogs disposal and if running and playing gets boring or a dog is just too sore or old to play it can rest inside on leather lounges, textile sofas and single seaters and watch a flat screen TV with assorted dog movies.

At the end of a long day for the boarding dogs, they can gain sustenance with home made fresh food and cuddle into couches with cushions and blankets with other dogs for the night. For those daycare dogs, they go home, exhausted and owners need not have to entertain or walk their dog after they themselves have had a hard day.

Although Kulnura is set on 27 acres the limitation of dog numbers is strict and only a small amount of dogs are allowed for boarding and daycare on a daily basis and are assessed on temperament and social skills. No aggressive or overly dominant dogs are admitted into Doggy Pause.

If you have a dog/s, which isn’t aggressive, is well socialised and enjoys cuddles and other dog company (assessments will take place to ensure validity of confirmation of information) contact Willo (Prowess) at admin@doggypause.com.au and let her know you are an ORS member and you will be entitled to a first time usage discount of Doggy Pause.

Thanks Bec *hugz* Most appreciated.

Thanks Posca ... It's been a hard 2 years of work but has paid off.

I know some of you have used Doggy Pause before so you know how different the place is compared to other dog boarding and daycare places .. If any of you haven't and your dog is really social with other dogs then Doggy Pause is a really good place for them to be when you go away.

Came up with the idea in 2008, opened in 2009 and now expanding in 2010/2011.

Thank you. It's been really hard work but so so amazing to see the hard work pay off. I am one of the lucky ones, I love what I do and because of that it has given me so much back.
